Empower Your Community with Eco-Theater: Invite AEJ to Conduct a Workshop

AEJ's eco-theater workshops inspire communities to take action on environmental justice issues through the power of creative expression. Our team works closely with participants to develop short plays that effectively communicate the impact of these issues on their community, with the goal of inspiring positive change. Below you can see our previous workshops.

Eco-Theater: Climate Justice Through Performance

In April 2023, AEJ conducted a workshop that explored the impact of California wildfires on farm workers and inmate firefighters. Participants in the workshop were guided through theatrical tools and techniques to create two powerful plays that addressed the environmental justice implications of these wildfires.

One of these plays was performed at the Earthtones event on Earth Day at Stanford University. The performance was well-received and helped to raise awareness of the impact of wildfires on vulnerable populations.

Overall, the workshop was a successful and impactful event that used the power of theater to address important environmental issues. We are grateful to everyone who participated and made it possible.
